Reversi (also known as Othello) is an engaging board game played on an 8x8 grid. The gameplay involves placing pieces with two distinct colored sides in a contest against either the computer or another player. This application is offered free of charge, and notably, it does not contain any advertisements.

Main Settings

• Select difficulty level ranging from 1 (easy) to 7 (difficult).
• Choose player mode: against AI as either white or black, or human vs. human mode.
• Options to show/hide the last move, valid moves, and game animations.
• Emoticons are available during the final stages of the game.
• Customize the color of the game board.
• Optional voice output and sound effects can be configured.

Game Rules

Players must place their pieces in such a way that at least one straight line (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal) connects the new piece to another piece of the same color, with one or more contiguous opponent pieces situated between them. The player with the black pieces begins the game. Play alternates between players when one cannot make a valid move, and the game concludes when neither player can move. The victor is determined by who has the most pieces at the end of the game.

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR BEGINNERS: The game will enact multiple moves only in situations where you lack valid options and must pass your turn according to the established rule: "If one player cannot make a valid move, play passes back to the other player."
